FAQs (Frequently asked questions)
Where is the farm located?
We’re based just outside Beccles, on a rural site with plenty of space for outdoor and farm-based activity. See link in website footer but full directions are shared once a session is booked.
How do young people get to the farm?
Most young people are brought to the farm by parents, carers or transport arranged by schools or services.
Is transport provided?
We don’t currently provide transport, so travel to and from the farm will need to be arranged in advance.
What should a young person bring or wear?
Clothes that can get muddy, sturdy footwear, and layers for the weather. We’ll share a short checklist before the first session.
What happens in bad weather?
Sessions still run wherever possible. We work around the weather using shelter, indoor spaces where available, and adapting activities as needed.
How long are sessions, and what time do they run?
Session timings vary depending on the group or individual but are usually between 1-5hrs. We’ll confirm session length and times when bookings are arranged.
How many people are in each session?
Sessions are kept small by design, usually 1–1 or small groups, so young people have space and time to settle in. Private bookings are available for up to 8 young people.
Do you offer volunteering opportunities?
Yes — we run volunteer days for skilled adults at certain times of year, particularly when preparing or maintaining the site.
